| Earnest and Roline Ministries Changing Lives for Christ, One Person at a Time |
| In May 2997, we journeyed to Nairobi, Kenya. What a wonderful time we had! God blessed and kept our mission team of four couples without incident. The team served as speakers/teachers for the Ridgeways Baptist Church Couples Convention, under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Elijah Wanje. We conducted marriage seminars over a three day period. Some of the topics included: • God’s Purpose for Marriage • Building Companionship • Resolving Conflict • Accountability in Marriage • Midlife Crisis We both had the honor of being the guest speakers at the Convention’s Banquet. Approximately 150 couples listened intentionally as we spoke on “Harmony through the Sweet and Sour”. After the message, we both answered questions relating to marriage issues that were submitted by some of the attendees. Culminating the experience, Earnest delivered the 11 a.m. Sunday morning worship message at Ridgeways Baptist Church. God blessed the message in a mighty way. We also got an opportunity to minister at a school located in the poverty stricken slums. The condition of the school was deplorable, however, the school's administrator never stopped testifying as to how blessed they were. God blessed our efforts immensely. Cultural differences and African strong traditions did not hinder the Word of God from going forth and being received. All glory is given to God! |
