| Pastor Earnest Thomas |
In September 2003, Pastor Earnest Thomas was called to the St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas
under the leadership of Bishop Steven M. Arnold. He currently serves as the Discipleship Pastor where he is
responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the Christian Education ministry at St. Mark.
Pastor Thomas’ responsibilities include developing, implementing and evaluating church-wide studies,
teacher training programs, workshops, church conferences and Bible studies. He gives direct leadership to
the Associate Ministers, Sunday School Ministry, Twelve Tribes, Married Couples, Men and Prayer Ministries.
Pastor Thomas, along with his wife, Roline Thomas, conducts pre-marital and marital counseling for the St.
Mark membership. In 2007, they were part of a foreign mission team that traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to
minister to married couples in Africa.
May 1997 – August 2003, Pastor Thomas was the Senior Pastor at the True Believers Baptist Church, Wills
Point, Texas. At the time of his appointment, True Believers was only in its second year of existence. Under
Pastor Thomas’ leadership the church grew spiritually and numerically. He instituted Wednesday Night Bible
Study, Youth for Christ, Drama Ministry, Youth Choir, Deacon Family Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, Praise and
Worship Team and Evangelism Ministry.
January 1993, Pastor Thomas united with the Union Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, under the
leadership of Dr. Charles C. Martin, Sr., where he accepted his call into the ministry. Pastor Thomas served
as Minister of Adult Ministries, giving leadership to Men, Women, Couples’, Singles, Senior Adult, Usher,
Hospitality, Sunday School, and various Choir Ministries.
Pastor Thomas is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in
Accounting from Southern University. Along with his wife Roline Thomas, they are the Founders and Directors
of Earnest and Roline Ministries, a ministry of Biblical based teaching in the form of workshops, seminars,
conferences, and counseling. They have written material on the subjects of marriage, singleness, youth,
teaching and praise and worship.
Pastor and Sister Thomas have four daughters and two grandchildren.
