| Pastor Earnest Thomas |
Pastor Earnest Thomas is widely recognized as a passionate teacher, shepherd, counselor and leader. In
September 2003, he was called to serve as the Discipleship Pastor of the St. Mark Baptist Church in Little
Rock, Arkansas, where he is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the Christian Education
Ministry.
Pastor Thomas’ responsibilities include developing, implementing and evaluating church-wide studies,
teacher training programs, workshops, church conferences and Bible studies. He gives direct leadership to
the Associate Ministers, Sunday School Ministry, Twelve Tribes, Marriage, Men’s Ministry and the Roddy E.
Collins School of Ministry. Additionally, Pastor Thomas, along with his wife, Roline Thomas, conducts pre-
marital and marital counseling for the St. Mark. After becoming overwhelmed with cases, they formed,
organized and direct Soul Care Lay Counseling Ministry which provides biblically based counseling to
individuals and families. In 2007, Pastor Thomas was an intricate part of the Foreign Mission Team that
traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to minister to married couples in Africa.
In May 1997, Pastor Thomas answered the call and served 6 years as Senior Pastor of the True Believers
Baptist Church, Wills Point, Texas. At the time of his appointment, True Believers was only in its first year of
existence. Under Pastor Thomas’ leadership the church grew spiritually and numerically. There he instituted
Wednesday Night Bible Study, Youth for Christ, Drama Ministry, Youth Choir, Deacon Family Ministry,
Deaconess Ministry, Praise and Worship Team and Evangelism Ministry.
Pastor Thomas is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in
Accounting from Southern University. Along with his wife Roline Thomas, they are the Founders and Directors
of Earnest and Roline Ministries, a ministry of biblically based teaching in the form of workshops, seminars,
conferences, and counseling. They have written material on the subjects of marriage, singleness, youth,
teaching and praise and worship.
Pastor and Sister Thomas have four daughters and two grandchildren.
